Moored offshore at Hardy Reef, 40 nautical miles from Airlie Beach, Reefworld is the setting for your spectacular overnight Reefsuite experience. Relaunching in 2019, the revamped pontoon hosts day trippers, on-deck Reefsleep guests and a lucky few who’ll head below deck for a private, all-inclusive Reefsuite experience.

Begin your journey with a cruise through the Whitsunday Islands to Hardy Reef onboard our high-speed vessel, arriving at the reef around 11am. After lunch, guests can snorkel, dive, swim or take a scenic helicopter flight to see famous Heart Reef (additional cost). Day visitors depart mid-afternoon and then overnight guests have Hardy Reef and Reefworld all to themselves.

Watch a stunning sunset with a drink in hand before enjoying a starlit long-table dinner on the pontoon’s upper deck. After dinner, Reefsuite guests can retreat to the privacy of their undersea accommodation. Sit back, relax and watch as the reef comes to life through the floor to ceiling windows.

Reefsuites give a whole new meaning to ‘a room with a view’ and you’ll awake to see the marine life going about another day on the world-heritage listed reef they call home. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and an exclusive morning on the reef before heading home in the afternoon with memories that will stay with you forever.

FAQ

Question: Can the reef be seen at night from inside the Reefsuites?
Answer: The water outside the Reefsuites will be lit directly by a light, which will enable guests to see marine life, but it is unlikely they’ll see the reef.

Question: Will there be hotel-style amenities such as shampoo, body wash and hair dryers?
Answer: Yes, each Reefsuite will include basic amenities including a hair dryer.

Question: Can children experience Reefsuites?
Answer: Children must be 6 years or older to experience Reefsuites. Reefsuites will be charged at a per person rate, regardless of age.

Question: What are the check in / check out times for Reefsuites?
Answer: We strive to maximise every guests time available in the luxury of their Reefsuite and we do vary our check-in/out times based on the operational requirements of Reefworld to ensure this is achieved.  However, generally checkout is before 12noon and check-in is from 3pm. Our Reefworld Hosts will be able to advise of specific timing upon your arrival at Reefworld.

 

CANCELLATION

Changes permitted up to 45 days prior to departure.
100% cancellation fees apply 30 days and under prior to departure

Your cruise or accommodation could be cancelled under one of the following three circumstances:

• A cancellation arising from your actions, through no fault of ours – see ‘Guest Cancellations’.
• A cancellation by us arising from external consequences that make our performance of the agreement impossible (for example a Force Majeure event, or the actions of a third party e.g. new government regulation) – see ‘Force Majeure Cancellations’.
• Any other cancellation by us – see ‘Our Cancellations’

Force Majeure Cancellations. For all cruise and accommodation types, in the event of a Force Majeure Cancellation, we will provide you with a credit note of an amount equal to the monies paid to us under the booking. The credit note can be applied to the cost of a future cruise with us. Time limits and other criteria and conditions may apply.

Our Cancellations. For all cruise types, in the event of Our Cancellation, we will provide you with the option to receive one of the following:

• (where available) travel on an alternative service of similar value;
• an alternate service of the same value at a later date;
• a full refund of monies paid to us under the booking; or
• a credit note of an amount equal to the monies paid to us under the booking.
