At Spicers Sangoma Retreat, a strong emphasis is given to creating a luxurious yet relaxing environment that exists in harmony with nature. Each suite provides a high level of luxury and comfort wrapped in its own unique character.
Nightly rate includes all meals and beverages during the stay including arrival mini-bar, lunch, tasting dinner menu with paired wines, gourmet breakfast, selected premium beverages throughout the stay.
The Chief Suite spans two levels and is our premier suite featuring an upstairs bedroom with panoramic views. On a clear day you can see the Sydney city skyline 80 kilometres away. Downstairs is a spacious lounge, a dining area and kitchenette as well as a private deck where your secluded plunge pool awaits.
Positioned overlooking the forest canopy and surrounding bush land, each private suite has an open plan design with modern features and a large balcony with swing chair to enjoy the views. These suites are perfect for disconnecting from the outside world and feature:
Nestled in the main lodge, the Lodge Suite overlooks natural bushland and native gardens with views of the city lights on the horizon. The suite provides direct access to the main dining and lounge areas and also features:
The Tent Suite is as stunning as it is unique. Complete with overhead chandelier, stunning open plan bathroom with freestanding bathtub overlooking the forest canopy and timber flooring to provide all the creature comforts associated with a modern luxury suite.
Enveloped in native forest the Luxury Bush Suites are completely private, with only giant Angophora gums and Lyrebirds as your neighbours. Large open plan design invites the outdoors in and allow unhindered views from bed, lounge and deck.
Fresh, organic and seasonal produce sourced from the historic Hawkesbury region.
Each day the team creates a meal based on the freshest and finest produce available utilising our friends from Harvest Farms, a community-supported agriculture (CSA) project over two farms located in the Hawkesbury. We change our menu daily based on what local vegetables we can get our hands-on. Vegetables are the heroes of our dishes and they are complemented by the finest proteins that we can source. At Sangoma we pride ourselves on being as organic and sustainable as possible. Lunch and dinner are affectionately called the ‘Chefs Harvest Experience’.

ECO-CERTIFIED
Spicers Sangoma Retreat was Eco-Certified by Tourism Australia in 2016. The ECO Certification program assures travellers that certified products are backed by a strong, well managed commitment to sustainable practices and provides high quality nature-based tourism experiences.
COMPOST FOR PRODUCE
CLOey is Sangoma’s in-house compost machine that turns our food scraps into compost. The machine produces a high nutritional compost that is picked up and used at a local farm in exchange for fresh seasonal fruit and veggies. This reduces the food mile and increases community collaborations, closing the loop on our organic waste.
CLIMATE CONTROL
We are trialing AirconOff to automate the climate control system in rooms, making sure the air conditioners are at a comfortable temperature level all year round. This helps create a seamless indoor & outdoor experience with a touch of extra heating and cooling on days when nature needs a helping hand.
RAIN WATER
We have two 110,000 litre water tanks that collect rainwater for use at the retreat. Any leftover water from meals is collected and used to water the garden, ensuring nothing goes to waste.
FRAGRANCE OF THE BUSH
We utilise fallen leaves and small branches of mainly Eucalyptus trees to assist with lighting our main fireplaces. Evoking the delicious scent of the Australian bush and heighten your senses.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
We have solar panels on the roof of the main retreat building to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, creating our own green energy with the rays of the sun.
