Your trip will begin in Airlie Beach staying at the gateway of Whitsundays 74 islands in Tropical North Queensland.
You will stay for 2 nights in a Mirage Apartment complete with epicurean kitchens, indulgent bathrooms and spacious terraces with breathtaking island-dotted ocean views. With its northerly aspect, the Mirage Whitsundays enjoys absolute water frontage.
After 2 glorious nights you will take a helicopter from Airlie Beach to Elysian Retreat on Long Island.

A blissful escape from the crowds in Paradise Bay on the southern point of Long Island. You won’t believe your eyes when you arrive at this amazing Airlie Beach location.
Set your bags down in your beautiful sea-facing apartment and go and explore Airlie Beach.
Day 2Â
Wake up, get up and do any of these amazing activities. 1. Discover secret beaches · 2. Learn to sail · 3. Volunteer to clean up the Great Barrier Reef · 4. Find a swimming hole · 5. Take a dip in the heart of town. The list goes on and on and the choice is entirely yours.
Day 3
After breakfast, take your pre-booked helicopter to Long Island where you will be taken to an ultimate secluded place that exudes barefoot luxury.
Day 4-5
You are likely to have the beach to yourselves, so make the most of it and go exploring.
Day 6Â
The sea is calling you today, so grab a stand up paddle board followed by a snorkle so you can see across the water and then under the water and you will discover a myriad of fish.
Day 7Â
Today will be filled with mixed emotions, sad to say goodbye to Long Island and the wonderful staff at Elysian Retreat and joy to be heading to yet another beautiful island in the Whitsundays – Hamilton Island.
You will need to brace for Beach Club brilliance as you get to immerse yourself into the Hamilton Island lifestyle and enjoy Beach Club luxury.
Day 8 Â
Another day in paradise. Don’t just linger at the Beach Club, as tempting as it is. Go explore, bushwalk, take a golf buggy on a tour, visit the Beach Club Restaurant for lunch. Whatever you do, enjoy it!
Day 9Â
Take a break and do as you please. Perhaps take one of the many walking trails and do a bushwalk that takes in the spectacular scenery.
Bushwalking on Hamilton Island is a great way to experience the hidden coves, beautiful views, and various picnic spots scattered throughout the bushland.
Day 10Â
You are located right near the long, picturesque curve of Catseye Beach is an ideal spot for relaxing and enjoying a whole range of watersports on Hamilton Island.
Or hire a buggy and take the island at your own pace. Make the most of holidaying in a car-free destination, and enjoy travelling around in a Hamilton Island golf buggy. (Subject to availability).
Day 11Â
It is sad to say goodbye to the beautiful Beach Club that has become your home for the last 4 nights.
However, you are invited to take a half day Whitehaven Beach cruise experience which involves taking a scenic cruise and spending up to 2 hours at the southern end of Whitehaven Beach.  Enjoy a morning tea with your shipmates and go for a swim wearing a protective stinger suit.
At the end of the half day cruise, you will be transferred to Daydream Island. Don’t worry about your luggage, it will have been taken to the island before you arrive!
Now it’s time to check into your Resort Room and enjoy the next 3 nights.
Day 12
The excitement doesn’t stop at the shores of Daydream Island. Why not experience the stunning Great Barrier Reef and surrounding Whitsundays by air, land or sea – jet skiing around the island, a day of golf, helicopter tours or ocean rafting. The list of fun things to do is endless but don’t forget, pre-bookings are essential. You might want to make a booking for Living Reef tomorrow!
Day 13
While staying at Daydream Island, a must see and experience is the Living Reef.
The Living Reef is a free form coral lagoon that wraps 200m around the central building on Daydream Island and is home to over 100 species of local marine life including fish, small sharks, rays and other reef dwelling creatures. Up to 15m wide and containing 1.5m litres of fresh, filtered sea water this man made reef system offers a range of ways you can get up close to our resident marine animals. The Underwater Observatory takes you 4m under the surface and showcases a large 7 x 3m window where you can watch the marine life going about their day. The open learning environment in the Education Centre has 8 living displays showcasing various habitats from mangroves to corals, a theatrette and an interactive touch pool.
A range of Living Reef activities are offered by our resident Marine Biologists who love to share their passion and knowledge with our guests. Pre booking is essential.
Day 14
Today is your departure day. What a wonderful time was had by all. You must make a note to your travel agent for compiling such a perfect package (wink!).

Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation within 14 days or less prior to arrival date or in the case of non-arrival, You must pay a fee of equal to 100% of the total accommodation. In the case of a cancellation once in-house, 100% cancellation fees will apply for any early departure.
Travel Insurance: We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover cancellations, travel delays and other unforeseen incidents and accidents.
Transfers: transfers between Airlie Beach and Long Island are included. Transfer from Daydream at the end of the trip are not included. You will need to make your own arrangements for a forward transfer to your next destination.
Check in/Check out: standard 2.00pm check in and 10.00am check out will apply.
A valid credit card must be provided to Mirage Whitsundays at the time of check-in. This procedure is to ensure that all incentives and other arising fees and charges (as per Clause 12) will be covered as determined by Mirage Whitsundays’ Terms and Conditions.
b. Mirage Whitsundays reserves the right to conduct a pre-authorization of the credit card for an amount between $50 and $500. Note that a pre-authorisation is a simple process that validates the credit card and protects both the cardholder and the merchant against fraud incidents. Once taken the preauthorized amount is frozen in the account for a period of a maximum of 5 business days and then gets released. No charges or statement apply.
No Children and/or infant should be left unattended by a responsible adult at any time inside the room and inside the grounds of the Mirage Whitsundays property, including the pool areas, the waterfront and the driveways.
Please kindly note that Elysian Retreat is a licensed property and we therefore can not allow any liquor being brought onto the premises. Our manager can store any liquor on your person until departure day.
You enter upon the vessel of Elysian at your own risk.
Any damages to, or loss of property or injury or death of persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of Elysian Retreat or any other provider howsoever caused, including but not limited to, any damages, loss, injury or death caused or contributed to by any defect in any watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by Elysian Retreat or any other provider.
Any loss of, damage to, or delay in receiving any guest’s baggage or personal effects during a journey, such items at all times being the sole responsibility of the guests, whether or not such a loss and damage was caused or contributed to by the negligence of Elysian Retreat or any other provider.

Please note that during the COVID 19 period Elysian Retreat is offering guests who may be affected by any travel restrictions a 12 month period to rebook their holidays at no additional cost. Deposit payments will simply be transferred to a new booking. Please contact the team on [email protected] should you have any questions, we are more than happy to assist.
For cancellations not affected by COVID travel restrictions or isolation orders:
14 days or more prior to arrival – forfeit deposit of 25%
13 days or less prior to arrival – the accommodation rate for cancelled nights and any transfers shall be forfeited
Check-In: Your bungalow will be ready for check in from 2pm onwards, but could possibly be ready earlier depending on guest departures on the day. Please contact the team at Elysian for further details regarding your stay or should you wish to arrive earlier than check in time.
Weather:Â In the event of bad weather forcing evacuation, Elysian Retreat will not be liable for any costs incurred in the evacuation process, but will assume responsibility for our guests and arrange for evacuation to take place.
Tour Cancellation Policy
Hamilton Island Air adheres to a strict cancellation policy. If you have any questions with regards to this cancellation policy, please feel free to contact us.
Flights cancelled with over 24 hours notice – no cancellation fee
Flights cancelled by 7:00pm the day prior to departure – 50% cancellation fee
Flights cancelled on the day of departure – 100% cancellation fee
If passengers elect not to travel due to weather conditions but flights are still operational, 100% cancellation fee will apply
All credit card bookings will be pre-authorised 24 hours prior to departure. If your credit card is declined and we are unable to contact you, your booking will automatically be cancelled.
Legal and safety information
For legal and safety reasons all passengers are weighed prior to boarding – individual weights in excess of 110kg will incur an extra seat surcharge. Combined body weights per two passengers booking’s in excess of 180 kg’s will incur an extra seat surcharge. Maximum allowable per seat weight is 130 kg’s. Luggage restrictions apply to all Transfers, Helicopters, 1 medium size suitcase not weighing more than 20kgs and 1 standard test cell size carry-on bag not weighing more than 10kgs per person. Seaplanes, 1 standard test cell size carry-on bag not weighing more than 10 kg’s per person. Touring luggage restriction, 1 soft bag not weighing more than 5kg’s p/p. Single seats are available on a standby basis at 6pm day prior to travel only.
Infant Policy (0-2 y.o.a)/ Child Age (3-13 y.o.a)
Infants are welcome and are carried at the discretion of Hamilton Island Air; however, our tours are designed predominantly to accommodate adults. Some Tours are not suitable for infants, if in doubt please ask. Infants are classified as 0-2 years, one infant may travel free of charge on a parents lap in the rear of the aircraft. Please note that only one infant may travel FOC per aircraft, two infants may occupy 1 seat, the seat price applies. Children are classified as 3 – 13 years of age inclusive, must be accompanied by an adult on the flight. Minimum age for all shared helicopter scenic flights & tours is 3 years of age
HI-AIR will not be held liable for costs associated with airfares, accommodation or anything else due to any flight on any aircraft type which does not proceed as booked or confirmed. HI-AIR will not be held responsible for inclement weather, sea state, waves, sunburn, sunstroke, insect infestations or for any other creature which may bite, sting or eat you whilst you are visiting their habitat. During stinger season (Oct-May inclusive) passengers enter the ocean at their own risk.
All flights and flight paths are subject to prevailing weather, tidal conditions and availability; therefore itineraries are subject to change without notice. Cancellation fees apply for all bookings cancelled between 12 and 24 hours prior to departure, all no shows or cancelations on the day of travel – 100% cancelation fee applies. Aircraft seat configuration is determined by the aircraft manufacturer; therefore we can not guarantee window seats.
Hamilton Island minimum age requirement
All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult such as a parent, step-parent, guardian who has parental rights and responsibilities for the under 18 year old guest. If a guest is found to be a person under the age of 18 and is not accompanied by a responsible adult, Hamilton Island Enterprises Limited (HIE) may cancel the guest’s booking and ask them to leave the island immediately, with the full booking amount being forfeited to HIE under this condition.
Arrival details
For any guest arriving to stay overnight on Hamilton Island, we need your Arrival Details as soon as you have them so that we can do our best to have your room ready on time.
Check-in is 2pm. Check-out is 10am.
We recommend you pack a change of clothes, swimmers, book, sunscreen and sunglasses in your hand luggage so that you can enjoy some pool or beach-time while you wait for your room to be ready.
You will be collected from Daydream Island and transferred to Hamilton Island after your half day cruise.
RETURN times are when the vessel arrives back at the mainland/island resort.
COACH TRANSFERS to Port of Airlie are available at an additional cost.
NOTE: Schedule changes may occur. Where a Day Cruise is cancelled we will send notification to the contact details provided at the time of your booking. Itinerary is subject to prevailing weather and sea conditions including tides, wind, swell, sun and rain. The vessel’s Master must at his discretion determine the most appropriate course to ensure acceptable levels of safety and comfort for passengers, crew and other vessels. All tours from Port of Airlie will stop at Hamilton Island to drop off and collect guests.
Some tours will require a change in vessel for connection to Whitehaven Beach vessel.
We reserve the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.
Children: Child Fares are for children aged between 4 and 14.
Infants under 4 travel free of charge but we must be advised at time of booking.
With the exception of Great Barrier Reef Adventures, infant meals are not included on Day Cruises.
Child Fares may vary in price and ages when operated by a 3rd party provider.
Inclusions. Your Booking Confirmation sets out the details of all goods/ services that are included in your cruise.
Weather: Check the weather – for passenger safety reasons, all cruises will only proceed in suitable sea and weather conditions.
Luggage: Passengers must comply with the relevant luggage requirements set out on the Website.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend passengers take out travel insurance at the time of booking to cover any unforeseen
circumstances.
Fit to Travel: You must ensure that you are medically and physically fit for travel. Before you confirm your booking, you must advise us of any medical or physical condition(s) that may require medical attention, medication or special treatment during your cruise/stay. We may also ask you to complete a health questionnaire. If a guest has a condition that we decide may significantly affect the enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person on board, we can refuse or cancel a booking.
For diving. A third-party provider operates the diving activity. They may require divers to complete a medical questionnaire and satisfy age and medical requirements. We understand divers cannot fly for 24 hours after diving and the company accepts no liability for medical conditions experienced as a result of flying after diving. We recommend you check requirements with Reef Safari Pty Ltd, the third-party operator.
ON THE DAY OF TRAVEL
(a) Check In. You must check in with our representative at the location stated on your Booking Confirmation no more than 1 hour and no later than 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
(b) Dangerous Goods. Your luggage must not contain any items which in our opinion are dangerous, illegal, liable to harm or annoy other guests, or otherwise unsuitable. Animals (except guide dogs) are not permitted on board. We reserve the right to deny boarding or eject any Passenger that fails to comply with this clause.
ON BOARD
(a) No Smoking Policy – All our vessels adhere to smoke free rules in accordance with relevant state government regulations. Unless designated areas have been created and assigned Passengers are not permitted to smoke (including e-cigarettes) on board.
(b) Children.
(i) Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult carer (this exclude residential travel)
(ii) Minimum age for Reef Sleep/Suites is 6 years and all children must be accompanied by an adult carer.
(c) Safety.
(i) Passengers must always follow and carry out all lawful directions of the Master and/or crewmembers of the vessel.
(ii) Passengers must take all reasonable precautions for their own safely and the safety of any person in their care (particularly
children). This includes using hand and guard rails at all times as provided around the vessel, appropriately restraining children
and ensuring that children are accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and paying attention to the safety briefing given
by crew members at the commencement of carriage.
(iii) Passengers are advised and required to take particular care in conditions of inclement, rough or heavy weather or as advised by
the crew.
(iv) Neither we, the vessel nor any crewmember shall be held responsible for any loss or damage (including personal injury)
suffered by any person, as a result of breach of that person’s safety obligations, or their failure to utilise all safety devices and
precautions as provided and/or advised on board the vessel, or caused by any passenger acting in an unreasonable, unnecessary or
unsafe manner.
Cancellation policy: Amendments – Changes permitted up to 1 day prior (fees may apply). Cancellations – 100% cancellation fees apply within 48 hours of departure
Check in/out: Check in from 2.00pm and check out at 10.00am unless prior arrangements are made.
Cancellation fees are at the discretion of the Resort. Daydream Island Resort will accept no liability in the event of a cancellation due to weather conditions. Guests are advised to take out travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
