At Fiordland Lodge, a maximum of 27 guests are accommodated in 10 luxurious rooms in the Lodge and two separate self-contained loft-style Log Cabins as well as a new 4-Bedroom Owners Residence. Accommodation features king-size beds, well-appointed private bathrooms and superb views, and the decor reflects the beautiful Fiordland landscape, focusing on muted natural colours and textures. Our log cabins provide secluded accommodation for a maximum of five guests separate to the main lodge. All accommodation options have commanding views over Lake Te Anau and external access out onto either the balcony upstairs or the lawn downstairs.

Set on a superb site with commanding views out across Lake Te Anau this is a rural setting with rolling grasslands surrounding the Lodge, Lake Te Anau being a mere ten minute walk away. Across the lake to the west lie the mountains of Fiordland National Park, an area of over three million acres of untouched wilderness and part of the much larger South West New Zealand World Heritage Area.
Experience a guided heli-hike on the Kepler Track. Begin with a spectacular flight by helicopter from Te Anau Township, over the hidden lakes to arrive at Luxmore Hut on the Kepler Track. The walk begins in the alpine area then descends through the magnificent beech forest. The effects of different altitude and weather conditions experienced in Fiordland are clear to see, as the trees and undergrowth quickly change, creating a varied backdrop. The approach to Lake Te Anau is evident as the track meanders through native New Zealand ferns. The hike is finished at the sandy beach of Brod Bay, the pick-up point for the water taxi back to Te Anau township.
Experience a guided walk to Giant Gate Waterfall on the world-famous Milford Track. Departing from Milford Sound begin with a short boat ride to Sandfly Point. Then meander alongside the cascading Arthur River through lush rainforest to Giant Gate. An expansive swing bridge spanning the river provides perfect photo opportunities. A forest of ancient trees, vibrant ferns and mosses, and diverse birdlife – unequalled anywhere.
At the conclusion of the walk complete the Milford Sound experience with an afternoon Scenic Boat Cruise 1 hour 40 minutes in length. With purpose-built observation lounges and large decks, clients will have excellent viewing opportunities including the geological drama of sheer cliffs, massive waterfalls, glaciers and rainforest.
Enjoy a guided walk to Key Summit on the renowned Routeburn Track. This spectacular walk ascends through lush, temperate rainforest and onto a unique alpine herb field. On the summit, hikers experience panoramic views of mountains, alpine lakes, and deep, glacial carved bush clad valleys. Walking in a small group, the Trips & Tramps guide provides an excellent opportunity to learn about this stunning natural environment.

Our Lodge rooms are located on the ground floor and very comfortable. These rooms open out directly onto the lodge lawn and all have the same unimpeded views of Lake Te Anau and the surrounding mountains. The decor reflects the landscape, with muted natural tonings and huge picture windows frame the lake. Top quality bedding, towels and toiletries add a sense of pampering. The ensuite bathrooms merge porcelain and swamp kauri with the latest bathroom conveniences.
Our Deluxe Lodge rooms are located on the 2nd floor with elevated views out across lake Te Anau with back drops of the Murchison and Kepler Mountains. With more of a flare for the modern as well as the natural, Deluxe Lodge Rooms combine a mixture of contemporary and rustic elements to achieve a very comfortable room style. Ensuite bathrooms merge porcelain and swamp kauri with the latest bathroom conveniences.

Our guest suite at the top of the Main Lodge features tall windows that wrap round the suite letting Lake and mountains inside.
Spacious and welcoming our Executive Suite looks far out over the lake to the mountains and sky and features chunky feature beams, and relaxing spot lighting.
Inside the separate lounge offers a riverstone gas fireplace and a comfortable sitting area. The master bedroom uses earth colours and the Suite decor is muted natural tonings reflecting the landscape.
Bathrooms are particularly handsome, with basins of New Zealand swamp Kauri, more natural tones, and double walk in rain showers.
