Today you will get to experience the rainforest in a unique and fun way as you swim, snorkel, float and walk through the beautiful tropical rainforest.
Step into the cool, crystal-clear water and drift with the current as you explore life under the water’s surface. Watch fish dart in and around the river stones and keep your eyes out for the occasional turtle.
This family friendly tour is the perfect way to stay cool in the hot tropics and a great introduction to snorkelling before heading out to the reef.
As you explore one of the cleanest rivers in Australia, keep an eye out for some of the friendly inhabitants such as turtles, over 30 species of fish, water dragon, colourful birds, electric blue butterflies and Elusive platypus.
Today you will experience nature’s finest with one of Australia’s reef cruise on Quicksilver. This wavepiercing catamaran and friendly crew will take you to a reef at the very edge of Australia’s Continental Shelf, to an underwater world that is dazzling kaleidoscope of colour and brilliance of Agincourt Reef. Here, special reefs known as ‘ribbons’ run parallel to the Continental Shelf. The Shantara Resort Port Douglas is a boutique resort-style complex, providing guests with luxury self-contained apartments with personalised service in a friendly, relaxed environment. The 4.5 star adults-only resort opened its doors in 2007, with a range of accommodation options, two lagoon style pools, a gymnasium and a day spa.
The open tropical-styled three storey complex features classical North Queensland architecture and offers your choice of spacious studio rooms or large comfortable one bedroom self-contained apartments. Our Shantara Apartments have an outdoor Jacuzzi (Hot Tub) and direct pool access. 2 bedroom apartments are also available on request.
