DAY 2 – PERTH TO MARGARET RIVER
Your journey starts with a picturesque drive south to the fabulous Margaret River region enjoying several stops along the way.
In Mandurah, a coffee break by the foreshore is followed by a visit to the Featured Wood Gallery and Museum in Bunbury. At Busselton, walk off your delicious lunch with a stroll along the longest timber jetty in the southern hemisphere.
After free time to browse the shops and galleries in the Margaret River township, it’s time to head to your accommodation for the night.

DAY 3 – MARGARET RIVER
Today is a sensory overload of fine food, wine, culture and scenery as you indulge in regional specialties including craft beer, coffee, cheeses, olive oil and chocolate with various esteemed local producers. (B, L)
DAY 4 – MARGARET RIVER TO PERTH
Today, you’ll head to Redgate Beach to hear stories of the shipwrecks that lie offshore, then head underground to explore the spectacular Mammoth Cave. Next stop, majestic Boranup Forest dominated by 60-metre tall karri trees, and a tour of the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, Cape Leeuwin, before stopping for lunch in Augusta.
After lunch in Albany, it’s time to head back to your Perth accommodation.

DAY 5 – LEISURE DAY
Today is yours to explore cosmopolitan Perth at your leisure. Take a walk to the new Elizabeth Quay, cruise the Swan River, stroll Kings Park, see the quokkas of Rottnest Island with Rottnest Express, or simply relax in the comfort of your accommodation. (B)
DAY 6 – BOARD THE INDIAN PACIFIC IN PERTH
This morning you will join the Indian Pacific, departing Perth, before heading east through the delightful Avon Valley. Take time out to enjoy this iconic train and relax in the Outback Explorer Lounge in anticipation of your late-night arrival into the Golden Outback region.

DAY 7 – INDIAN PACIFIC, NULLARBOR PLAIN

DAY 8 – INDIAN PACIFIC, ADELAIDE AND BROKEN HILL
As the landscape changes again and rich ochre sands make way for forests and farmlands, you will arrive into Adelaide. After a rewarding Off Train Excursion in the South Australian capital, return to the Indian Pacific to continue your journey toward Sydney.
Your next stop is Broken Hill where you’ll again have a choice of excursions that showcase the rich mining, artistic and cinematic legacy of this frontier outback town. (B, L, D)
DAY 9 – INDIAN PACIFIC, BLUE MOUNTAINS AND SYDNEY
Wake this morning to take in the full spectacle of the Blue Mountains on Sydney’s doorstep.

Day 1 – Sydney Your transcontinental adventure begins in Sydney where you board the Indian Pacific. Prepare for a journey of contrasts, from lush vineyards to vast goldmines, majestic mountains to the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, from cities of four million to ghost towns of four. As the train winds through the breathtaking Blue Mountains, explore the comforts of life onboard, get acquainted with your cabin and fellow travellers. Day 1 – Perth to Kalgoorlie Your journey from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean begins as you pull away from the platform in Perth mid-morning. Settle into your comfortable cabin and get to know the creature comforts of life onboard. Enjoy a modern Australian lunch as you glide through the picturesque rolling hills of the Avon Valley. After a relaxing afternoon on board, enjoy a three-course dinner prior to your late evening arrival in the wild west township of Kalgoorlie.
Day 2 – Nullarbor Plains Awake to the spectacular expanse of the Nullarbor Plain to watch the sunrise. Be captivated by the big blue skies and ancient stillness of the desert landscape, broken only by a mob of friendly kangaroos. Waiting ahead is the charm of the once-thriving Nullarbor railway community – now ghost town – of Cook. Sit back and relax as the train continues its trek across the longest single stretch of railway in the world. Another mouth-watering dinner is followed by relaxed conversation in the lounge before a restful night’s sleep.
Day 4 – Blue Mountain and Sydney Wake in the picturesque Blue Mountains. See the majestic Three Sisters at Echo Point and the views at Jamison Valley before completing your journey on our chartered NSW rail service (fully hosted by our staff) into Sydney Central Station. Alternatively, stay onboard the Indian Pacific to travel directly to Sydney.

Fares, packages and prices in this brochure are subject to change without notice prior to booking. If a guest has booked a rail journey that includes flights, hotel accommodation, car hire or touring, these components will not be booked until a booking deposit is received.

The full balance of payment will be due at 45 days prior to the date of travel. (Unless booking conditions state otherwise, such as special offers, third party supplier conditions.) For bookings made at 45 days or less prior to travel, full payment is required at the time of booking. If payment is not received, the booking will be cancelled.
